Hello. I am Cape Town Accountant Chris Boshoff and started my accounting practice more than 10 years ago.
I studied at RAU (now UJ) and obtained my B Comm Accounting degree in 1991 and my B Comm (Hons) Accounting degree in 1992.
After my studies I worked a bit in the field of auditing, after which I worked in commerce for listed companies, for startups and for small to medium companies. I have also worked in a diverse range of industries and I hope my experience can serve you well in one way or another.
I am a member of the South African Institute of Professional Accountants and the South African Institute of Tax Practitioners. Besides keeping up to date with Accounting and Tax Laws I read at least two business books a month.
I am Michael Karsten a qualified Chartered Accountant or CA(SA). I prefer the term chartered accountant as my car thinks he is a CA as well. And he knows absolutely nothing about accounting. Although I am mostly involved with my own company, we share offices with Chris and I assist him every now and again.
My wife Erica is a bookkeeper and Chris outsources some bookkeeping clients to her, while he handles the Annual Financial Statements.
I have experience in the audit field, as well as in commerce and industry, especially in the field of importing.
So if you need any assistance with anything pertaining to importing, I will be the person assisting you.
Hello my name is Sharkie.
My job description is to give Chris some entertainment. I am however way too smart for him.
He tries his utmost best to catch me and my family, but in most cases he comes way short.
Every now and again the bugger gets lucky and catches one of us. But he has not caught anyone of us weighing in excess of 200 kg.
So in my eyes he is a loser. He should rather go and play with his figures. Mike is a big Sharks supporter and he agrees with me in this regard.
